Yehovah be with you
In Part 2 of this Study we look at the role of Jerusalem as the seat of authority for the 1st Century disciples of Yehoshua the Messiah. Also Yehoshua’s prophecy of the destruction of Jerusalem that came in 70 C.E. and then finally 132-135 C.E. As it is written in Luke 21
20. “However, when you see Yerushalayim surrounded by armies, then you are to understand that she is about to be destroyed.
21. Those in Y’hudah must escape to the hills, those inside the city must get out, and those in the country must not enter it.
22. For these are the days of vengeance, when everything that has been written in the Tanakh will come true.
23. What a terrible time it will be for pregnant women and nursing mothers! For there will be great distress in the Land and judgment on the people. 24. Some will fall by the edge of the sword, others will be carried into all the countries of the Goyim (nations or gentiles), (This marked the beginning of the roman exile that has continued till this day, but is now coming to an end)
…..”and Yerushalayim will be trampled down by the Goyim until the age (times) of the Goyim has run its course.” CJB
We can see clearly that Yehoshua spoke of a destruction of “the place” Jerusalem and this has come to pass, as we see in History. Also it must be noted that this same prophecy is spoken through Moshe, Jeremiah and others. This promise of the destruction of Jerusalem was part of the curse for not taking heed and being obedient to the Torah of YHVH.
We would like the highlight the word “Until”:
….”and Jerusalem will be trampled on by the nations, until the appointed times of the nations, are fulfilled.” NWT
“37 Behold, I will gather them from all the countries to which I drove them in my anger and my wrath and in great indignation. I will bring them back to this place, and I will make them dwell in safety. 38 And they shall be my people, and I will be their ELOHIM. 39 I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me forever, for their own good and the good of their children after them. 40 I will make with them an everlasting covenant, that I will not turn away from doing good to them. And I will put the fear of me in their hearts, that they may not turn from me. 41 I will rejoice in doing them good, and I will plant them in this land in faithfulness, with all my heart and all my soul.42 “For thus says YHVH: Just as I have brought all this great disaster upon this people, so I will bring upon them all the good that I promise them. 43 Fields shall be bought in this land of which you are saying, ‘It is a desolation, without man or beast; it is given into the hand of the Chaldeans.’ 44 Fields shall be bought for money, and deeds shall be signed and sealed and witnessed, in the land of Benjamin, in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, in the cities of the hill country, in the cities of the Shephelah, and in the cities of the Negeb; for I will restore their fortunes, declares YHVH.” Jeremiah 32 ( Also read 33)
We “see” and believe we are in the beginning of the end of the “gentile times” and the beginning of the “age” or “times” of the restitution of all things.
“Heaven must hold this one (Yehoshua) within itself until the times of restoration of all things of which ELOHIM spoke through the mouth of his holy prophets of old” Acts 3:21 NWT
” Heaven must receive him until the time comes for ELOHIM to restore everything, as he promised long ago through his holy prophets.” NIV
It is in this time of the presence of Yehoshua the Messiah that we are looking forward to the fulfillment of all the Holy Promises.

YHVH be with you
This study begins with some highlight from the Torah Portions RE’EH | ראה | “See ” Dev.11:26-16:17. We then look at the hebrew word Hamakom (הַמָּקוֹם) “the Place” that the Almighty will place HIS Name in Israel and come to see the significance and the promises, and prophecies concerning the restoration of the earthly city of Jerusalem . (1 of 2)
“But unto the place (הַמָּקוֹם) which YHVH your ELOHIM shall choose out of all your tribes to put His name there, even unto His habitation shall ye seek, and thither thou shalt come; and thither ye shall bring your burnt-offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and the offering of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill-offerings, and the firstlings of your herd and of your flock; and there ye shall eat before YHVH your ELOHIM, and ye shall rejoice in all that ye put your hand unto, ye and your households, wherein YHVH thy ELOHIM hath blessed thee.” Devarim 12:5-7
